~ The hymn Spirit Song (“O let the Son of God enfold you…”) was written and set to music by John Wimber (1934–1997). Wimber was a former rock musician (connected with the group that later became The Righteous Brothers) who converted to Christianity and eventually became a pastor. He served in Quaker, Calvary Chapel, and Vineyard contexts and became known for his emphasis on the active work of the Holy Spirit in worship.
